Day 2 - 30th Apr (Hallstatt)

We woke up very early today so as to board the earliest bus and then a train to go to Hallstatt, which is located 2 hrs from Salzburg. Y we go Hallstatt? Becoz the place is damn beautiful loh, plus that's where the korean drama - Spring Waltz was filmed. Along the way in the bus, we saw snow all over the fields and mountains!!!! Damn nice neh! Becoz that day before it was raining very badly so such outskirt areas, which are also much higher than sea level, will definetly snow. Really very beautiful. Becoz there was sun, so the snow starts to melt. The scenery was breath-taking!
By the time we reached Hallstatt station it was near 11am (I guessed). In order to get to Hallstatt we must take a boat there to cross the lake, otherwise we got to take a super big turn. We took the later option. Becoz we wanted to go to the ice cave, which we needed to walk along the lake for abt 30 min. Along the way, the 7 of us just took photos like mad! Haha... Nonsense ones too of coz. The route we took was facing the main area of Hallstatt. So the scenery was very familiar to me, coz I saw it in the show mah. Too bad, all the snow melted liao, only left with the green scenery, but still, it was fabulous oh!
Despite we reached the town of the ice cave which supposed to be located, it was still a long way. All of us were hungry so we tried to find food. But the town hor, is really ulu pandan... Nobody one loh. Luckily we saw one restaurant and when we went in, it was filled with ppl. Haha!!! Lucky of us. We ate different main course and as usual the serving was damn big too. It was really very "bao" after that. Then we continued our journey up to the ice cave. Very sad that the ice cave was closed becoz the day before was snowing heavily that causes the snow to be 3 metres high. Sad case man. Haiz... So we had no choice but to slowly go to our original destination - Hallstatt, which we took about an hr or so to reach there.
Long time no see the swing liao! OMG! miss that man... I just sat there and swing none stop. Then I folded up my jeans and went to play in the cold water. Haha!!! Madness man... It was damn cold loh but shiok ah! Hallstatt is really a small town with majority kids too. Many tourists as well. Haha!!! I was recalling the scenes in the show - Spring waltz that I remember the certain post that the leading actor and actress took. Then I went to take similar pics... Hee, like taking MTV neh. I went to the church that the show was filmed too. Very cosy one! By the time, it was quite late and we took a boat to cross the lake to the train station and head back to slazburg.
It was night time liao by then. We had to decide the itinerary for the next time. I din want to go to the sound of music tour becoz i dunno much too, also, the tour cost 40 euro neh... $$ so my morning was free. yes!!! Can roam around liao....
